The south is known to birth some of hip-hop’s most beloved artists, old and new, and rising Midland City, Alabama native Lelo Da Yungeen is definitely hustling his way to be one of the next renowned artists from his home state. Only 15 years old and newly entering the core of his teenage years, Lelo Da Yungeen is beyond talented, and has so much more time and room to grow. With only three promoted singles and visuals, Lelo has been releasing music for less than a year — but music has always been apart of his life’s journey. The passion seeps out in a track like “Long Road” featuring Gunz Corleone. The track is similar to trap-soul, as Lelo provides melodic bars alongside Gunz Corleone’s gritty southern flow.
Currently preparing for the official release of his debut project Only 15, Lelo Da Yungeen is definitely ready to enter the airwaves. In the meantime, if you’re new to Lelo Da Yungeen or southern artists in general, the kid’s music is definitely a great place to start.
