Maryland based musician Nedessy L’Amour uses her musical gifts to curate an open letter song to America titled “Dear America.” Centered around the recent Black Lives Matter revolution going on in America, Nedessy uses her platform as a black woman to shed light on this issue affecting her people.

“Stop killing my beautiful black people,” – Nedessy.

The song is short but powerful as Nedessy mixes a soft melodic hook and quick bars to deliver the message that black people need to get the reparations that they deserve. Accompanying the song is a peculiar music video that gives another perspective to the song.

The is starting with a news clip of Donald trump with visual effects illustrating him as the devil sends a clear message about how America is viewing black struggle currently. Throughout the video, Nedessy is seen in various scenes reciting her lyrics and protesting with Washington D.C. natives.

The news clips give perspective on the current revolution going on, Nedessy had a few powerful words about how she feels about the current status of the world.

“Black parents should not have to fear for their, and their children’s lives anymore just because of the skin complexion they’re born with,” she said. “We must come together snd use our platforms to create the change that is needed worldwide.”

Previous features in Singersroom, Buzz Music, Medium, and Hello Beautiful, the ascending musician has been trending in all of the right places. Also, Nedessy has shared stages with Cardi B and Teni The Entertainer, which solidifies her as an upcoming artist.

She wishes to use her platform to continue to push for the greater good, and the official single is available on all DSPs. The video is available to watch on YouTube.
