Week 6 starts with the defending champs heading to Mile High on a short week, and it ends with the Panthers walking into a Philly building that has lost three straight. Here’s the IAHHM breakdown: tonight’s Thursday Night Football game, the Panthers-Eagles matchup, quick takes on the rest of the slate, our Best Bets and the anytime TD board.
Heads up: lines move all week. Every number below is credited to the book or outlet that posted it and the day it was posted. Shop around before you bet.
Thursday Night Football: Seahawks (3-2) at Broncos (3-2)
- Kickoff: 8:15 p.m. ET, Thursday, Oct. 15
- Where: Empower Field at Mile High, Denver
- TV: Prime Video
- Spread: Seahawks -2.5 (-118), Broncos +2.5 (-104) at FanDuel
- Moneyline: Seahawks -152, Broncos +128 at FanDuel (DraftKings had -148/+124 as of Tuesday, per VSiN)
- Total: 40.5 (Over -115, Under -105) at FanDuel. The total opened at 42.5 and has been bet down.
Seattle is coming off a loss to the 49ers. Denver is coming off a win over the Chargers, though Bo Nix threw for only 123 yards in that one.
Key injuries
- Broncos: CB Pat Surtain II (ankle) and S Talanoa Hufanga (ankle) are OUT. CB Riley Moss (ribs) is questionable after limited practices all week. That’s two of Denver’s top defensive backs gone and a third banged up.
- Seahawks: RB Zach Charbonnet (knee), LB Chazz Surratt (calf) and LB Drake Thomas (ankle) are out. Jaxon Smith-Njigba has no game status, so he’s good to go.
Efficiency check
- Seattle defense: 2nd in EPA per play allowed (-0.117), per VSiN, and No. 1 in the league in yards allowed per play, per Covers. No opposing QB has thrown for 200 yards against them this year.
- Seattle offense: 26th in EPA per play (-0.070) and 30th in rush EPA per play, per VSiN. JSN carries the passing game with 603 yards and 7 TDs through five weeks.
- Denver offense: 24th in EPA per play (SI) and 26th in yards per play (Covers). The Broncos are 27th in third-down conversion rate. Seattle’s defense is 3rd at getting off the field on third down.
- Red zone: Seattle’s one soft spot. The Seahawks rank 26th in opponent red-zone TD percentage, per Covers.
Trends
- Seattle is 13-5-1 ATS on the road under Mike Macdonald (SI).
- Seattle is 4-0 straight up after a loss since the start of last season (Covers).
- Denver is 1-4 ATS on Thursdays under Sean Payton (Covers).
- Denver games are 4-1 to the under this season (SI).
Weather
Covers’ forecast calls for about 52 degrees, winds near 10 mph and a chance of light rain. Not a game-changer, but it doesn’t help a Denver passing game that’s already stuck in neutral.
The IAHHM angle
Denver is breaking out the throwbacks tonight, and Kareem Jackson plants the alumni flag after retiring as a Bronco. Nice night for nostalgia. The football side is less fun for Broncos fans: no Surtain, no Hufanga, a QB averaging well under 200 yards a game, and a Seattle defense that takes away exactly what Denver does worst. We like the champs to grind this one out.
TNF props we like
- Bo Nix Under 202.5 passing yards (line via Covers). He’s been under 190 in three of five games and Seattle allows the fewest yards per pass attempt in the league.
- AJ Barner Over 20.5 receiving yards (line via Covers). He’s 2nd on the team in targets and 3rd in receiving yards. A low bar.
- Jaxon Smith-Njigba anytime TD +115 (BetMGM). Seven TDs in five games against a secondary missing its two best players.

Panthers (2-2) at Eagles (2-3): Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS
- Where: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia
- Spread: Eagles -1.5 (-105), Panthers +1.5 (-115) at DraftKings. FanDuel has Eagles -1.5 (-104), Panthers +1.5 (-118).
- Moneyline: Panthers -102, Eagles -118 at DraftKings. FanDuel: Panthers -102, Eagles -116.
- Total: 42.5 at DraftKings, 41.5 at FanDuel.
Carolina comes in rested off a Week 5 bye after beating the Lions on Sunday Night Football on Oct. 4. Philly has dropped three straight, most recently a 19-17 loss to the Jaguars in London on a walk-off field goal.
The numbers
- Bryce Young: 62.3% completions, 1,268 yards, 9 TDs and just 2 INTs in four games.
- Panthers offense: 8th in EPA per play, 6th in EPA per pass, 5th in yards per play (SI). Carolina is tied for the NFL lead at 317.0 passing yards per game (BetMGM).
- Eagles offense: 30th in EPA per play, 31st in success rate, 31st in yards per play (SI).
- Eagles defense: 17th in yards per play allowed, 22nd in EPA per play allowed (SI).
Injuries
- Eagles: Saquon Barkley (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (hamstring/toe) did not practice Wednesday. Jalen Hurts (calf) was a full participant. The offensive line is thin: Lane Johnson retired, Cam Jurgens was traded to Baltimore and Landon Dickerson (knee) was limited.
- Panthers: Ikem Ekwonu is out (SI). On Wednesday’s estimated report, Jalen Coker (quad), Trevor Etienne (ankle) and Bryce Young (knee) were listed as full. T Monroe Freeling and RB A.J. Dillon (knee) were listed as non-participants.
Trends
- The Eagles are 1-4 ATS and haven’t covered as a favorite this season (SI).
- The Panthers are 11-6 ATS as underdogs since the start of 2025 (SI).
The IAHHM angle
This is the spot Carolina fans have been waiting on. The Panthers have the better offense by just about every efficiency number, they’re rested, and the Eagles may be without their top two skill players behind a patched-up line. We’re not sweating a point and a half. Panthers moneyline (-102 at DraftKings/FanDuel). If Barkley and Smith are officially ruled out later this week, expect this line to move toward Carolina, so the earlier you lock it in, the better.
The Rest of Week 6: Lines at a Glance

Quick Takes
- Bears at Falcons: This line flipped from Atlanta -1.5 to Chicago -2.5, and the total climbed two points. Both Caleb Williams and Michael Penix Jr. were flagged as injury question marks early in the week, so check QB news before you touch it.
- Ravens at Browns: Baltimore has moved from -3.5 to -4.5 even with Lamar Jackson’s status flagged as uncertain. Cleveland is 3-2 straight up and 3-2 ATS. If Lamar sits, the Browns plus the points get interesting.
- Jets at Patriots: Both teams are 3-1-1 ATS. A touchdown spread in a division game is a lot. Lean Jets +6.5.
- Steelers at Buccaneers: Tampa is 1-4 ATS. One of the lowest totals on the board at 39.5.
- Chargers at Chiefs: The Chargers are 0-5 and 0-4-1 ATS. Hard to back, but 8.5 is a big number in a rivalry game.
- Bills at Raiders: The highest total of the week at 53.5, and the spread has dropped from Buffalo -6 to -4.5.
- Cowboys at Packers (SNF): The total rose from 50.5 to 52.5, per Covers, and the side is bouncing around a pick’em. Javonte Williams (-200) and MarShawn Lloyd (-140) are the TD favorites at BetMGM.
- Commanders at 49ers (MNF): San Francisco is a 7.5-point favorite and is two games up on Seattle in the NFC West. Christian McCaffrey is around -265 to score.
IAHHM Best Bets for Week 6
- Seahawks -2.5 (-118, FanDuel): Denver’s secondary is missing Surtain and Hufanga, Seattle owns the league’s stingiest yards-per-play defense, and the Hawks are 13-5-1 ATS on the road under Macdonald.
- Panthers ML (-102, DraftKings/FanDuel): Better offense, rested, and facing an Eagles team that’s 30th in EPA per play and may be without Barkley and Smith.
- Bo Nix Under 202.5 passing yards (line via Covers): no QB has reached 200 against Seattle this year.
- Jaxon Smith-Njigba anytime TD (+115, BetMGM): 7 TDs in 5 games against a depleted secondary.
- Tucker Kraft anytime TD (+188, BetMGM): Stokastic flagged him as its top TD value of the week at +210 on DraftKings. Take the best price you can find in a 52.5-total game.

Value TD picks
- Jaxon Smith-Njigba +115: Seattle’s red-zone weapon against a Denver secondary down two starters.
- Tetairoa McMillan +185: Carolina is tied for the most passing yards per game in the league and the Eagles rank 22nd in EPA per play allowed.
- Tucker Kraft +188: The best-priced tight end in the highest-total primetime game.
Long shot
- Bo Nix +450 (BetMGM): Covers points out Nix has seven red-zone rushing attempts this year. If Denver can’t throw on Seattle, a Nix keeper near the goal line is a real path.
