Creator Playbook: What to Post This Week (Oct. 26–Nov. 1)

New week, new content calendar. Between GHOE 100 in Greensboro, Halloween on a Saturday, a Ken Carson x Destroy Lonely tape and a stacked Friday of sneaker drops, there’s no excuse to post filler this week. Here’s what’s trending, what’s coming and exactly what to make from Monday, Oct. 26 to Sunday, Nov. 1.

The Sounds and Formats Working Right Now

These come from weekly trend trackers at SocialPilot and Buffer:

  • “DIP ON EM” by SouthMemphisHypeman: still rising. It’s a simple one-take dance for one or two people, and it’s spreading past dance creators because anybody can learn it.
  • “Bounce it” by Biggs money: at peak right now.
  • Jersey Club “Find the Beat” challenge (set to “Wyw my sweetie #JerseyClub – Slowed”): one partner knows the moves, the other has to find the beat on the spot. The funny part is the miss.
  • “Ramalama (Bang Bang)” by Róisín Murphy: the go-to costume reveal sound. Camera starts at the shoes and tilts up to the full fit.
  • The ranking sound (original sound by Nileyna Garcia): pick a niche topic and rank the options with facial expressions and hand gestures.
  • Creepy fact storytime (“son original – it’s just a dream”): eerie clip, strange fact on screen. Buffer notes history accounts are using it well.
  • TikTok Shop “early Black Friday find”: reply to a viewer’s comment with an on-camera product test and an honest verdict before the big deals hit.

The Week’s Big Moments

  • All week: GHOE 100. North Carolina A&T’s centennial homecoming runs Oct. 25 to Nov. 1 in Greensboro, with the game against Elon on Saturday, Oct. 31 (N.C. A&T).
  • Mon. Oct. 26: World Series Game 3, Brewers at Rays, 8 p.m. ET (MLB). WNBA Finals Game 5, Dream at Valkyries, 8 p.m. ET on Peacock and USA (NBC).
  • Thu. Oct. 29: Panthers at Packers on Thursday Night Football (WCCB).
  • Fri. Oct. 30: Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely’s joint tape 00TWINZ is slated to drop, per Complex. Same day: the Air Jordan 3 “Fireside” ($205, per Hypebeast), plus Nike’s Kobe 3 Low and Dunk Low “Mamba Eterno” and a Halloween pack of Book 2, Caitlin 1 and KD 19 colorways (Sneaker News).
  • Sat. Oct. 31: Halloween. HBCU homecomings at N.C. A&T (vs. Elon) and Shaw (vs. Bluefield State in Raleigh), per HBCU Buzz. The Air Jordan 14 “Forest Green” and Nike Ja 4 High “Halloween” also drop. If needed, World Series Game 7 and WNBA Finals Game 7 both land that night.
  • Sun. Nov. 1: Daylight saving time ends. GHOE 100 wraps.

8 Post Ideas With Hooks

1. GHOE 100: “100 Years in 30 Seconds”

Hook: “A&T has been doing homecoming for 100 years. Here’s why nobody does it like Aggieland.”
Quick cuts of the tailgate, the stepshow and the fits. If you’re on the yard, film real people, not just the stage.

2. Hip Hop Costume Reveal

Hook: “Did I win Halloween?”
Start in regular clothes, then cut to your costume as a rap era or an iconic stage look on the drop of “Ramalama (Bang Bang).” The question in the caption gets the debate going in the comments.

3. Friday Drop Rankings

Hook: “Ranking every Nike Halloween drop this week. Be honest with me.”
Use the ranking sound and go Fireside 3s, Mamba Eterno Kobes, Book 2, Caitlin 1, KD 19. Let the comments fight about it.

4. 00TWINZ First Listen

Hook: “First listen. No skips allowed. Let’s see if it lives up to the wait.”
Post a quick reaction Friday morning, then follow up with a top-3 tracks video over the weekend. Wait for the tape to actually drop before posting.

5. Find the Beat: Team Edition

Hook: “My teammate swore he had rhythm.”
Athletes, band members and dance teams: run the Jersey Club “Find the Beat” challenge in the locker room or on the practice field.

6. Halloween Game 7 Watch Party

Hook: “Game 7 on Halloween? We came dressed for it.”
Only post this if the World Series or WNBA Finals actually goes seven. Have the costume and watch-party setup ready just in case.

7. Creepy Fact, Hip Hop Edition

Hook: “The hip hop history fact they don’t teach you.”
Pair the “it’s just a dream” sound with a strange but true story from rap history. Fact-check it, and pin your source in the comments.

8. Early Black Friday Find

Hook: “You asked if these are worth it. Let’s test them.”
Reply to a comment, then wear-test a sneaker, headphones or gym gear and give an honest verdict. Tag it as an ad if you’re paid or using affiliate links.

Quick Tips for the Week

  • Post drop content early. Sneaker and album posts get the most reach on release morning.
  • Don’t fake being there. If you’re not at GHOE, react, stitch or duet people who are, and credit them.
  • Trends move fast. Check the sound’s page before you post. If it’s slowing down, switch to the next one.
