Tierra Whack Opens Seven New Rooms in ‘WHACK’S MUSEUM’ With a Guest-Free Deluxe

Tierra Whack just made her museum bigger. The Philly artist released a deluxe edition of her June mixtape WHACK’S MUSEUM on October 16, adding seven new songs and bringing the project to 19 tracks and about 44 minutes, as 24Hip-Hop reported. It’s out through Interscope.

The New Tracks

The seven additions come after the original tracklist, starting with “BET HER”:

  • BET HER
  • RECOGNITION
  • STRAWBERRY
  • QUESTION MARK
  • PAY DAY
  • SCARECROW
  • LIAR LIAR

There are no features anywhere on the project, so it’s all Whack, start to finish. BroadwayWorld credits returning collaborator Conductor Williams with work on “BET HER” and “RECOGNITION.”

If you want the visuals, her official site already has visualizers for “EARWAX,” “CANDLE WAX,” “WHACK JOB” and “Siren,” plus the “WAX PAPER” video. None of those are new deluxe videos, though.

The IAHHM Take

A deluxe with zero guests is a flex. Most artists stack a deluxe with features to juice streams. Whack went the other way and just gave fans more of herself. That’s on brand for an artist who has always treated projects like art installations, from Whack World to World Wide Whack and now the museum.

Conductor Williams on the boards is a big plus, too. His dusty, soulful sound has been all over some of the best underground rap of the last few years, and pairing it with Whack’s off-kilter delivery is a match that makes sense.

Four months after the original, this deluxe feels like an extension of the exhibit, not a cash grab.
