Deezer Is Adding a Switch to Hide Fully AI-Made Music From Search

Deezer is giving listeners an off switch for AI music. The streaming service announced a new search setting that will hide fully AI-generated tracks, albums and related artists from results, with a worldwide rollout planned before the end of 2026, as first reported by AllHipHop.

The filter only targets songs made entirely by AI. Human-made records that used AI tools along the way aren’t affected, and listeners can turn the setting back off whenever they want.

The Numbers Behind It

According to Deezer’s announcement and AllHipHop’s report, the platform now receives nearly 90,000 fully AI-made tracks every day. Between January 2025 and August 2026, Deezer kept more than 42 million AI tracks out of its recommendations and labeled more than 14 million albums as AI-made. A Deezer-backed Ipsos poll from November 2025 found 45% of streaming users surveyed wanted the option to hide fully AI songs.

Spotify is moving in a similar direction with an “AI Persona” badge for artist profiles that may not represent a real person.

The IAHHM Take

Ninety thousand tracks a day. Sit with that. That’s a flood of content competing for the same playlist slots and the same royalty pool as the kid recording in a closet in Fayetteville or the producer cooking beats in a Durham apartment. Every stream that goes to a machine-made track is a stream that didn’t go to somebody who actually lives this.

A toggle won’t fix everything, and it puts the work on the listener. But it’s a sign the platforms know fans care who, or what, is behind the music. Hip hop has always been about the person on the record.

Would you flip this switch on? Or do you not care how a song was made if it slaps? Let us know.
