Weather Watch: ECU Moved Its Kickoff Up
East Carolina moved its game against Rice to 1 p.m. because of the late-afternoon and evening weather forecast in Greenville. If you saw an older listing with a later time, that’s outdated. Out east, check the forecast before you roll out. (ECU Athletics)
HBCU Game Day
William & Mary at NC Central | 1 p.m. | ESPN+
This is the big one. It’s NCCU Homecoming, and the Eagles’ Ultimate Homecoming Experience wraps up today in Durham. There’s a twist this year: per HBCU Sports, it’s the first time since 2007 that NCCU isn’t playing an HBCU on homecoming. New Hampshire at NC A&T | Noon | FloSports
The Aggies host New Hampshire at Truist Stadium in Greensboro in the Aggies Kick Cancer Game. A&T is looking for a lift after a one-point, 31-30 loss at Bryant last week. Homecoming (GHOE) is still coming on Oct. 31 against Elon. (NC Football News)
Bowie State at Winston-Salem State | 1 p.m. | CIAA Sports Network
WSSU is calling this one the “Rep Your Ram” Throwback Game. It’s also the Rams’ Hall of Fame Game, and there’s a Cheer Block Party on the schedule too. Pull out the vintage red and white. WSSU’s homecoming is Nov. 7 against Fayetteville State. (WSSU Athletics)

Shaw vs. Johnson C. Smith: Moved to Friday
Heads up if you planned on this one today. The Shaw–JCSU game was moved to Friday night because of weather concerns. JCSU came into the week 4-1 overall and 3-0 in the CIAA. (NC Football News)

The Broncos are off this week. They’re resting up for FSU Homecoming next Saturday, Oct. 17, against Elizabeth City State at 1:30 p.m. Fayetteville, plan accordingly. (FSU Athletics)

It’s Homecoming and Letterwinners Weekend in Greenville, and it’s also ECU’s American Conference opener. The Pirates (2-2) are coming off a bye and a 42-9 win over NC Central.
