A juror from Lil Durk’s murder-for-hire trial is talking about how the jury came to its verdict. The anonymous juror sat down with YouTuber Ceddy Nash on his Nightly Nash podcast in the first interview from anyone on the panel, XXL reports. Durk was found not guilty on all charges.
The juror said the panel went through roughly 20 inches of evidence, spread across two binders plus digital files. “We went through every single piece of evidence… We were meticulous, bro,” they said.
The jury got stuck on the legal definition of conspiracy and had to ask the judge to clarify it. Jurors also doubted how much control Durk really had over the other defendants. They pointed out that the defendants booked flights under their real names even though they’d supposedly been told not to. “How much authority does he actually have?” the juror asked.
The prosecution played clips from DJ Akademiks’ podcast, but the juror said they didn’t count for much. “[The podcast] didn’t really weigh on me,” they said.
