There are three iconic moments in the rich history of the Milwaukee Bucks: 1. Lew Alcindor leading the team to its first title in 1971, 2. Giannis Antetokounmpo ending the team’s 50-year championship drought in 2021, and 3. TJ Ford wearing super baggy shorts in 2003.
Ford’s rookie photoshoot with the Bucks will forever be remembered for its hilarity, absurdity, and, um, breathability.
On Tuesday, Tyler Herro recreated it with Ford. As they say, great art is always cyclical.

The Bucks’ move to pay homage to Ford with Herro was a hit.

Ford, whom the Bucks drafted with the No. 8 pick, explained that he was forced to wear the super baggy shorts since there was a mix-up in the delivery of their uniforms.
The six-foot guard averaged 7.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 1.1 steals in his rookie year. He sat out his sophomore season due to a spinal cord injury. In his final stint with the Bucks in 2005-2006, he averaged 12.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 1.4 steals. The Bucks traded him to the Toronto Raptors for Charlie Villanueva.
As for Herro, he is entering his first year with the Bucks, his childhood team. Fans are hoping that he will have a productive campaign and help the team compete.
Maybe he can wear super baggy shorts while he is at it.
