Mooktoven Interview

What are you most excited about when it comes to the forthcoming release of your Mooktoven Season 5 album release?

The most exciting part of the album is being able to help the artists who think they would never get chance or ever get a placement in the industry. This is showing them that there is a way and I’m going to make a way!

Why did you decide to put Young Thug’s brother Unfoonk on your “Hit Em Up” single as it is the lead record on your project? What was it like working with him?

I felt like it was a real gutter street record and getting someone on it from the neighborhood was a great idea. I felt like his voice would match and his energy would too. Working with Unfoonk was a blessing. Nothing but good vibes and energy and I can see the potential and talent in him.

What makes this album release different that your previous releases?

This album is mixture of different hoods and vibes, with different stories. I just wanted everybody to paint there own picture on the album. On my other tapes I didn’t have a machine behind me helping me promote them everywhere, but now I have an official team behind me. I feel at ease now.

Who else can we expect to hear on Mooktoven Season 5?

You can expect some of my artists on there. RoadBlockDee, Bird TaeGotIt and I have major artists on there from Unfoonk to Lotto Savage, Tomiee and TheHomieCashyy.

When did you catch your big break in the industry?

I caught my big break from a record I did with Lil Keed, Slime Life Shawty, and Zack Slime Fr, called “Blicky Blicky”.

How has life changed for you since signing a publishing recording deal with Empire records?

Working with Empire has been a very amazing journey and very useful to my career. It is another home away from home that gives me the platform for my label, artists and producers to succeed.

How has the city of Atlanta impacted your sound and decision to pursue music full time?

My city impacts me because I put that bop back in Atlanta to where you move your feet or just want to jump out you skin and feel young again.

Can we expect to see you on a tour anytime soon or any concert performances?

Hopefully soon. My goal is to get my artists and myself big tours and performances. That honestly is what I am aiming for.
