It makes me mad how slept on Jay Rock is.. the most underrated artist on TDE and puts out quality music and still doesn't get his shine, he has the demeanor.. when you see him and hear his voice that's the epitome of a rapper to me.. he exudes dominance, that's probably why his music makes you feel tough when you're listening but here we have “Redemption“.
13 tracks with features from Jeremih, J. Cole, Future, Kendrick Lamar and SZA.
Naming this album “Redemption” just tells me this is the beginning of Jay Rock becoming a household name.. just from the energy from listening to this album he's more aggressive and confident (if that was possible for a dude like Jay Rock).. like yeah i'm here and I can rap with the best of them.. this album has a nice mix of bangers and smooth joints so there's a good balance.. stop sleeping on Rock.
