WHERE DOES DRAKE RANK IN YOUR BEST OVERALL RAPPER LIST?
I think the problem people have with drake is the rappers they compare him to. Drake is an artist, not so much a rapper, not to say he can’t rap, he’s just gifted in way of expression, past words, he can use sounds too. Excluding all the reality show shit that surrounds him, I think he’s a dope rapper.

AT WHAT AGE DID YOU START BEING INTERESTED IN SPIRITUALITY?
Not until I begin to understand who I really was. I think I was like 24
WHAT DO YOUR PARENTS THINK OF YOU PURSUING YOUR GOALS?
My mother encouraged it. She had us when she was really young, so her dreams were delayed. My father, he just didn’t want me to make the same mistakes he did. He was more concerned with how I conducted myself on a day to day basis.

WHAT IS YOUR STANCE ON KANYE WEST?
Personally, or Musically? Well, his personal business isn’t my business, and musically, he’s like the rap version of Stevie Wonder.
HOW MANY ARTISTS or FREELANCERS HAVE YOU COLLABORATED WITH LOCALLY?
I used to be really active in the local scene, on some real shit, me and my homie James recreated the local scene. We opened a lot of closed doors, the backpack kids had shit on lock, and if you didn’t rock with them you were blackballed. To answer that question though, I’ve worked with everyone that wanted to work with me.
HOW SERIOUS ARE YOU ABOUT MAKING A LIVING FROM YOUR PASSION? ARE YOU A STUDENT OF YOUR CRAFT?
It isn’t a real option not to do music. I am the music I make, so as long as I’m breathing, I’ll be making music. Of course, I’m also a fan. That’s the motivation, hearing great music, and wanting to add your contribution.
WHAT IS LACKING IN HIP HOP MUSIC OR MUSIC IN GENERAL THAT YOU THINK CAN CHANGE?
Originality. A lot of rappers are chasing a bag, so they’re copying the trend to ensure profit, and that’s what’s promoted and played, the cycle continues. I believe it’s a systemic attempt to destroy a genre

I honestly can’t say, I don’t really listen to a lot of new stuff. Not a diss, but most of it sounds the same.

Where are you from?
Columbus, Ohio
-Do you work on this project alone or is there a team involved?
Just me and my beats. Different producers send me beats or I’ll go fishing for some. My music is built around a vibe.
-what is your dream job?
Getting paid to be me.
-If you were offered a perfect distribution/sponsorship from every major company in America which company would suit you and your brand the most?
Aftermath. Working with Dre is the goal.

-Tell me some of your biggest and/or most enjoyable moments so far?
I did a show in NYC, Cassidy was critiquing the artist. My set got the club rocking and he loved it. We flicked it up, shit was amazing. To get a co-sign from a known lyricist, priceless. I think the biggest moment was being in Philly with Entertainment in the late ’90s. I was just a kid in the Gotham (night club) with a lot of the biggest rappers at the time. I was heavy in the streets then, rap was just a hobby, I didn’t trust my gift, so I chose the streets over an opportunity.

- I’m a fan first
- I’m a better writer than rapper
- I’m a little older, I know some shit, lol
-Where do you see yourself going with this? What are your big plans?
Man, I’m just making the music I want to hear, no expectations. My biggest plan is sustaining my peace.
