Compton rapper BoogieFrmDa8 is making his rounds in 2022, especially off the hype from his release, “Not Him.”
BoogieFrmDa8 is back, and he is making moves and proving why he is an artist on the rise. tThe Compton rapper, now based in Orange County, CA, is gearing up for a substantial drop in 2022. His last two releases, “Not Him” and “Casamigos,” showcases his versatility as an artist and also display his hunger to win. BoogieFrmDa8 describes his sound as real street gutter music. Boogie has a rawness in his voice and sound production that makes his music sound raucous and robust, full of vitality.
Influenced by his own life, rappers such as “Boosie & Plies” and any underground Hip Hop artist, heard in how BoogieFrmDa8 approaches any track, especially with one of his latest releases, “Not Him” — he adopts a more introspective and underground rap mentality of authentic music verse fake, or us versus them, he will “choose underground over mainstream any day.”
The song “Not Him” is ultimately about how Boogie plans on staying true to himself.
“How ni–as embrace fake and hate the real,” he says. “I will not water down myself for a soul. And how there aren’t many real ones left. They are all locked up or RIP. I’ll take bicking it with a struggling real ni–a than a popular fake ni–a any day.”
BoogieFrmDa8’s latest visual for “Not Him” is a night to remember for the squad, as Boogie posts up with his crew in the city, as they chill around downtown, posting up, smoking, and overall just having a good time.
