“Victory Lap” album review.

Can you believe we were suppose to get this album back in 2012 when the world was suppose to end? I vividly remembering saying “wow I hope I hear this nip album before we all die“.. then year after year I lost hope.. but now it’s here in 2018.. I would like to apologize to Nipsey Hussle for doubting him because this album is phenomenal.. this is a DEBUT ALBUM.. you can tell he put his all into this album… like went through thousands of beats and crafted a song per month type album.. well put together.

16 songs on here with features from Kendrick Lamar, YG, Dom Kennedy, Belly, Diddy, The-Dream, CeeLo Green, Buddy, TeeFlii and Marsha Ambrosius.. and everybody fit in perfectly.

This amazing album along what Nipsey stands for is exactly why i’m a huge fan of him.. all throughout this album he’s giving game along with flexing and storytelling of course.. so west coast, I love hearing a project and I feel like i’m exactly where the artist is from.. it’s so many things that stood out to me on this album.. first, the partynextdoor sample on “Young Nigga“.. great beat.. then the Hard Knock Life sample on “Hussle & Motivatewhew my god.. next, “Keyz 2 The City 2” the beat change to the final minute… what a beautiful outro.. I wish it was longer man, I run that back everytime.. then, CeeLo’s vocals on “Loaded Bases” maaaaan this is a work of art.. and last but not least… my favorite song… “Double Up“, this might be my favorite song by Nip and the beat is blissful.. I had this on repeat for at least a WEEK straight.. Belly on the hook and Dom Kennedy with a verse, it’s perfect.. this album is exactly what you want from a Nipsey Hussle album, he definitely exceeded my expectations with this one.. please listen to this.
